Peter Corcoran

Born in Leeds, Peter's love of the sea began while he was on
a fishing holiday with his dad at the age of 14. He subsequently joined the Merchant Navy, spending 15 years sailing around the world before discovering, and settling in, Union Hall, West Cork.

In 1987 he bought his own boat and began to pursue a career in commercial fishing. Over the last 20 years he has gained an extensive knowledge of the West Cork coastline, including the habitats of the many different species of fish and other wildlife found in the area.

With this new boat Peter now has the chance to return to his first love; angling.

Tom Collins

Born in County Wicklow, Tom's passion for angling started even earlier at the tender age of 3. As a schoolboy, he worked in a local tackle shop, then studied and qualified in Aquatic Science at Tralee, Co. Kerry.

He sailed into Union Hall on a pleasure trip in 1996, met Peter and returned later in the year to join him fishing commercially.

His 20 years experience has seen him skippering boats in both competitive and pleasure angling and he has himself caught most of the species found in the West Cork waters, including the odd Blue Shark in the summer.

He is a qualified Coxswain on the Civil Defense Rescue Boat and is a member of the local fire service.
